The Rotary Club of BGC Central was inaugurated on February 23, 2017. The idea of setting up a Club in Bonifacio Global City started over dinner with then Governor Edna Sutter introduced Rotary to Simon and Gemma Gemayel. After much discussion, Simon agreed to set up the new Club and be its Charter president. In setting up the Club assistance was provided by our parent Rotary Clubs: Fort Bonifacio, Makati and Makati Dasmarinas in addition to encouragement by AG Bea Tan, PP Philip Nazareno and PDG Sid Garcia.

Over the last 3 years we have formed a sister Club with RC Nice Riviera d’Azur and we have engaged in several service projects:

BGC Greenway Project in collaboration with RC Makati
Digital Education Platform with 3 National High Schools in Taguig where we formed a relationship with a Rotary Club in Korea and received a Global Grant
Home Insurance Program for people living in Rotary Homes Paranaque
Installed Vegetable and Herb Garden at One World School, Makati
Disaster relief for Flood Victims in Naga, Cebu following the landslide in October 2018
Barangay Feeding for 3 Phases in collaboration with RC Nice Riviera d’Azur
Started the Mentoring and Leadership Academy –MLA and began Mental Health Talks with Tipas National High School, Bicutan Taguig
The Rotary Club of BGC Central was a sponsor for the chartering of the Rotaract Club of Enderun Colleges (club ID 217947), on 1 March 2020. The Rotaract Club President will be Francine Geli and will work closely with Rotary Club BGC Central in joint projects to serve our community
