  1. Call to Order

Meeting was called to order at 19:31pm

  • New members

We welcomed 2 new members, Sangeetha and Lochlan to our club

  • District activities

There will be a health caravan in Marilao Bulacan August 29, 2922 8am organised by our district where we will be helping out, supported by our President. There are more activities coming up and people can join or donate to. 

There is a Friendship Bowling Tournament, starting Sept 4, and continuing on Sept 11 and 25. We need 4 to 8 player to make a team. It will be Makati starting at 8am each Sunday.

  • Club activities

Our main activity currently is the fund raising event for Compassionate Hope, who take care of victims of sex trafficking. We will be donating the income from the fundraising to help them build a sari sari store.

At the same event we will have the induction of our new members and club officers. That will be at 6pm, then followed by the fundraising party at 7pm. The date is September 26, 2022  at the Spirit Library, 4963 Guerrero Poblacion, Makati. Our Target is to sell 100 tickets @2500 pesos.

Commitment from members so far is  51 tickets, so 49 to go. We also plan to have a raffle and possibly a 50/50 drum to raise more funds during the evening, and can accept walk-ins provided we don’t exceed the capacity of the venue.

Richard and Pratik will sort out the logistics for online tickets and payments, and hard copy tickets for walk-ins. Gabriel will organise the graphics for the marketing, and Rich will upload on the website. We also discussed options for food to serve during the evening.

The venue will charge us 100k in consumables.

Rod is exploring venues for future events.

5. BGC Central Account Balances

Operating  account – pesos 363,507.22

Saving account – pesos 271,913.30

Global grant 2,050,613.30 – which we need to spend or we need to return it to Rotary International

6. Club Goals

Membership – 25 by end of 2023

Service projects:

  • Ming Ao Medical Dental Mission – Iloilo – 5k donated by President      Claire 
  • Upcoming –  a medical mission  in Marilao Bulacan – Claire and Liez to attend. People can join from the club and the next one will be in Palawan

BGC Central suggested projects

            Education – How can we support the public schools for the face to face return to school

            Nutrition

            Livelihood for parents

We discussed what our focus should be, and if we want to complete the projects we have before we take on more. we can sponsor medical missions with other clubs. Cora could possibly partner us with medical professionals. Gabe can also donate vitamins.

7. Others

1 Public image: Rich will update our website and FB at least once a month. Send Richard your photo and profile for him to include

            1 Club shirt size – Asian sizes

            2 Sign up for upcoming activities

            3 club meeting  – We decided on f2f for each meeting

            4 Board meetings will be once a month on the last Saturday of the month.

            5 fellowship – once per quarter.
